Join us in Sharing in the Merit
Dear Friends,
As I prepare to leave for Asia, embarking on one of the most significant journeys of my life with over 25 ceremonies ahead, my heart is filled with a deep intention for healing and hope for our world. These times feel heavy with uncertainty, yet our path is one of unwavering dedication to compassion and peace. Throughout this pilgrimage, I carry with me the presence of all Dharma friends, as well as the women, children, and communities affected by suffering—those impacted by war, those carrying the weight of psychological distress, those facing the daily challenges of poverty, and all beings touched by conflicts and environmental crises.
The sacred Pali Canon, cherished since the time of the Buddha, will travel with us to each sacred site across India, accompanied by 30 Venerable monks from across Asia. Together, we honor and preserve these timeless teachings for generations to come. Each day of recitation and walking is devoted to keeping the Buddha’s wisdom alive in modern times. We walk for those who may feel forgotten, for the underserved, for those touched by violence and oppression, and for our Mother Earth in her time of need. At each site, we will livestream, inviting you to join us in spirit, bearing witness to the resilience, strength, and beauty encountered on this path. In the name of the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, we warmly invite you to journey with us.
If you feel called, you may add a butter lamp, flowers, or a small offering of love and light along this journey. Each offering will be a symbol of our shared hope and a gesture of peace amidst these turbulent times. You can also share in the merit of this journey by contributing here: Donate or join us in spirit through the Live Stream. You may even dedicate a loved one’s name to any of these sacred sites along our journey: Pilgrimage Map.
May each step bring peace and healing where it’s most needed.
May we walk in devotion to each other and to our precious world.
Sending you all best wishes,

Thanking those who made it possible
As I look back on how far we’ve come, I am deeply moved by our shared efforts to extend the light of Buddhasasana. This journey has been one of profound reverence, faith, and collective goodness, especially as we break the 700-year silence of Pali chanting. Guided by the wisdom of the Mahasangha and with the steadfast support of the International Tipitaka Chanting Council, we have, step by step, worked to restore the Dharma’s radiance in Aryadesh, breathing life into the sacred places where the Buddha once walked and taught.
We are immensely grateful to the Cambodian Sangha, particularly the Cambodian Buddhist Monk Society (CBMS), and to the great masters and countless volunteers who have made this year’s achievements possible. Every act of goodness, contributed by thousands of dedicated volunteers and donors, has been essential to this success. Our deep thanks also extend to our invaluable partners: Khyentse Foundation, and A Khmer Buddhist Foundation: Wat Khmer Kampuchea Krom, the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), for their commitment to making these programs available for the benefit of all beings.
If you feel called to join us, we invite you to SAVE THE DATE for the 19th International Tipitaka Chanting Program at the Seat of Enlightenment: December 2nd–12th, 2024.
May the light of the Dharma continue to shine brightly for the benefit of all beings.
